PRE-DEPARTURE DAY
If you are traveling from Hanoi or another destination, you will take an afternoon or night sleeper bus to Ha Giang. Upon arrival, check in to our hotel in Ha Giang City for the night before starting your adventure on Day 1.
07:00 Breakfast at your hotel in Ha Giang City.
08:00 Begin your journey along the Happiness Road (Highway 4C) — one of the most scenic routes in northern Vietnam. Stop at “Km 0” for photos before heading out of the city.
En route, visit:
12:00 Lunch at a local restaurant in Yen Minh.
After lunch, continue to Lung Cu Flag Tower, the northernmost point of Vietnam, offering spectacular views across the Chinese border.
Late afternoon, arrive in Dong Van Town. Check in to your homestay or hotel and relax.
19:00 Dinner and overnight in Dong Van.
07:00 Breakfast at the homestay or local restaurant.
08:00 Continue your journey through the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass – one of Vietnam’s most breathtaking mountain roads. Stop at the panoramic viewpoint for stunning photos overlooking the Nho Que River winding below.
Enjoy a boat trip on the Nho Que River, where you can admire the towering cliffs of Tu San Canyon, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.
12:00 Lunch at a local restaurant in Meo Vac.
In the afternoon, continue to Bao Lac Town, passing through scenic valleys and remote ethnic villages.
17:00 Check in to your homestay or hotel in Bao Lac and relax.
19:00 Dinner and overnight in Bao Lac.
07:00 Breakfast at the homestay or local restaurant.
08:00 Depart for Ban Gioc Waterfall, passing through majestic mountain landscapes and rural villages along the way.
En route, stop at the spectacular Me Pia Pass, one of northern Vietnam’s most famous viewpoints with 14 sharp curves offering panoramic views of deep valleys and winding roads.
12:00 Lunch at a local restaurant near Ban Gioc.
After lunch, continue the journey to Ban Gioc Waterfall, located on the border between Vietnam and China — one of the most stunning and iconic waterfalls in the world. Take in the breathtaking scenery and, if you wish, enjoy a short boat ride on the Quay Son River.
Next, visit Nguom Ngao Cave (“Tiger Cave”), a fascinating limestone cave known for its vast chambers, impressive stalactites, and magical underground formations.
17:00 Check in to your homestay in Khuoi Ky Stone Village, a charming traditional village famous for its ancient stone houses and Nung ethnic culture.
19:00 Dinner and overnight at the homestay in Khuoi Ky Village.
07:00 Breakfast and farewell to your hosts.
08:00 Depart for Nung An Paper-making Village, a traditional craft village where locals have preserved the ancient art of handmade paper production for generations. Learn about the intricate process of making paper from natural materials and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of local life.
10:00 Continue the journey to Angel Eye Mountain (Thung Mountain), famous for its impressive circular hole through the limestone peak — one of Cao Bang’s most stunning natural landmarks. Take your time to admire the scenery and capture beautiful photos.
12:00 Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, drive to Ba Be Lake, known as the “Green Pearl” of the Northeast, surrounded by lush limestone mountains and tranquil villages.
17:30 Arrive in Ba Be, check in to your homestay, relax, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
19:00 Dinner and overnight at the homestay.
DAY 5: BA BE LAKE – HANOI (B/L)
07:00 Breakfast at the homestay. After breakfast, you will move to Pac Ngoi boat station. Sitting on a small boat, you are relaxing to admire the lake while looking for yourself at the perfect shooting angle. On the Lake, boats will stop at the following points:
✓ Farry Pond is located at the corner of the third lake of Ba Be Lake, a small lake located in the middle of a mountain high above the lake. It is said that in the past, the fairies used to play chess here.
✓ An Ma Temple: According to legend, in the Le-Mac war, Mac generals lost the fight. They ran to Puong Cave and ended their lives there to protect their loyalty and pride. To eulogize Mac generals’ spirit, people built a temple to worship the Mac family. Worried that Le soldiers would destroy this temple, they changed its name to An Ma. The word “An Ma” means “peaceful and beautiful grave” in Tay people’s language.
✓ Widow Islet – a lovely small island located right in the center of the lake, associated with the formation of the lake. Boats go around the island slowly for you to take pictures.
12:00 Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, return to Hanoi by bus.
19:00 Arrive in Hanoi. Tour ends.
